Emergency Aid Response by MADA to Address SBeledweyne District Floods

In Beledweyne District, Hiran Region, Hirshabele Regional Government, floods caused the following problems

  1. Malnutrition: Children are severely malnourished, affecting children as well as pregnant and lactating mothers.
  2. MADA has moved to deal with the problem of Children and Mothers in the District.
  3. MADA has sent some of its workers to Beledweyne district to participate in the delivery of emergency aid to the local area, and they have taken the following steps:
  • They met with the Governor of the District informing them of the purpose of their trip
  • They moved to register with MADA in Beledweyne District.
  • The distribution of the aid intended to be distributed has begun.
  • It was distributed to 770 families in total.200 hundred people were given = 2 bags, one rope and 8 irons.
    200 hundred people were given = soap, jerry can, water purifier tablets and a bucket.
    370 hundred people were given = rations
    50kg  of rice, 6liters of oil, 22kg of beans and 0.9 of salt.
    770 families were given this assistance.
